Short Biography
Guillaume Tresset obtained a PhD in plasma physics at the French Atomic Energy Agency (CEA) in 2002. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Tokyo in Japan from 2002 to 2004 on microfluidic devices for the manipulation of lipid vesicles and molecular motors, then at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology in Singapore from 2005 to 2008 on artificial viruses. He joined the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in 2008 and he is currently Research Director at the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (Université Paris-Saclay, France) where he heads the team Self-Organized Biological Systems since 2019. He has published 54 research articles (h-index: 22) and he has given 11 invited talks in international conferences. He was elected as a member of the National Committee for Scientific Research (CoNRS) from 2016 to 2019, and he has reviewed numerous grant applications for national and international agencies.

Areas of expertise
Biophysics and bio-inspired systems, viruses, DNA complexes, microfluidics and X-ray/neutron scattering.
